Cher Bear

In Memory of Cheri Holz

God saw that she was getting tired

And a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around her and

He whispered "come with me".

With tearful eyes we watched her suffer

and slowly fade away.

Although we loved her dearly,

We could not make her stay.

A golden heart stopped beating

Hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us

He only takes the best.

Mariah was born when Cheri left us in 1995.

Cheri was loved so much by our entire family that she made the decision to sprinkle bits and pieces of her essence for the future family members.  I think she left her striking good looks and "wild" side to Mariah.  Mariah was born the same week that Cheri left.  Isn't she beautiful?  She's 16 years old now.  Has Cheri really been gone that long?

The following year, Mckenna was "sent" to provide love and comfort to Ron and me.  Mckenna seemed to understand just what we needed.  She would snuggle up to us and fill our broken hearts with love.  She has Cheri's studious side to her.  I think she will accomplish all the things that Cheri wanted to--college, travel, kids...

And then, there's Kaylin.  I look at her and see Cheri in her eyes.  Kaylin is a survivor.  Kaylin's mommy went into labor in a room with Angels on the ceiling--two months before her due date.  Kaylin was born on Mother's Day and spent 60 days in the hospital before being able to come home.  I think she weighed only three pounds when she was born but she looked perfect--like an Angel.  Kaylin is full of spunk and adventure.  She has all the energy that Cheri would have liked to have.

I love all of my nieces and nephews but I think these three were each given a special gift directly from Cheri.

One year later, Mckenna arrived.
and then there was Kaylin...
